I have a theory as to how, and it’s really very simple. The mincing liberal multi-culturalist pacifists in Great Briton are those with a preponderance of Norman genes, thank you very much William. 1066, and all that. The heroic fighters ala-Churchill are the Anglo-Saxon blooded.

I dont’ know why this didn’t occur to me before – it’s so obvious.

Not that the New York Police Department might not have made the same mistake. Not to be unkind, but, after all, the unfortunate victim of the accidental police shooting in England was apparently more a victim of his own stupidity.

Lessee: The entire country is hyper-sensitive owing to Arab-types bombing subways on multiple occasions. It isn’t rocket science to figure that, if one is an Arab type appearance-wise, one might be well advised not to enter an English subway station dressed in a bulky winter coat on a warm summer’s day, then run from police when challenged. The word “duh” leaps to mind.

Still, a police force more mentally equipped to deal with the Real World might, just might, not have made the same mistake.

We will never know.

But here is the lesson that should have already been learned, that History is repeating:

Unlimited License leads ultimately to tyranny. Let it go too long, and crack-down becomes inevitable.

This is why the U.S. is a nation of LAWS, not license.

Is anyone surprised? If so, or even if not, have you stopped to consider <em>why</em>?

Consider: I remember a time, long ago and far away, when I was young and idealistic and didn’t understand that most intrenched government institutions are, inherently, looney-bins, I believed the story that the brand-spanking-new NASA shuttle program was the beginning of a new era of space-busing where shuttle flights would become as commonplace and ho-hum as big brown UPS delivery vans.

What I didn’t figure on then, because like most young people I was ignorant, was liberalism.

NASA is a hot-bed of liberalism. And liberalism is, as you know, looney-toons by definition.

So what you have is a bunch of liberal, pointy-headed, looney rocket scientists trying to launch rockets all over the place. Not safe.

I happen to know one of these NASA morons personally.

<em>(Disclaimer. As with most things in life, there are undoubtedly exceptions. There are probably one, two, or maybe even more people working for NASA who are not total idiots. I’m the first to acknowledge that. But I haven’t met them yet.)</em>

The NASA guy I knew was, and I am not exaggerating, the dumbest human being whom I have <strong>ever</strong> encountered. I’ll call him, to save him some humiliation (although he is too stupid to be humiliated), “Bobb,” with an extra ‘b’.

Bobb is so stupid that he is even incapable of comprehending that education and intelligence are two entirely different things, and that one has little to do with the other.

Bobb, you see, is a ROCKET SCIENTIST. It says so right there on his diploma, so it must be true.

Bobb is also a liberal fuck. (Is he a liberal fuck because he is stupid, or is he stupid because he is a liberal fuck? Hmm? Chicken, egg, and all that.)

Anyhow, for years, every time there was another shuttle launch, Bobb would publicly crow about it as if he had personally lit the fuse.

But when the last shuttle broke into a million little pieces on re-entry, Bobb was strangely silent. Bobb is, like all liberal fucks, and in addition to being stupid, an intellectual coward.

Had Bobb had the balls to show his face after that incident, he would have denied personal responsiblity, despite his claim to personal responsibility for all previous uneventful flights.

The point of all this is that so long as institutions like NASA continue to hire idiot savants like Bobb based only on their political leanings and a freaking piece of reeking sheepskin, then they will also continue to fail, of course.

NASA, like the CIA, is populated by political hacks, partisan back-stabbers and idiots. Liberals, in other words; incapable of reason or logical thought.

Anyone who believes that book-learning is an acceptable substitute for the ability to reason is doomed to continue to smash up rocket ships and vote for traitors like Kerry.
